[i]IMPORTANT: Fager Felix offers two fittings, each offering a very different result.[/i] Fitted one way it creates a front-lock and then turned around and fitted the other way, there is no locking of the joint. [i][u]WITH[/u] front lock is recommended if you would describe your horse as the following:[/i] * Can be inconsistent in the connection. * Do not actively seek contact towards the bit. * Drops the bit/falls behind the hand. [i][u]WITHOUT[/u] front lock is recommended if you would describe your horse as the following:[/i] * Can be inconsistent in the connection. * Feels stiff under the saddle. * Bites down on the bit, attempting to pull it back. * Attempts to place the tongue over the bit. Anatomically designed for comfort, Felix is a lightweight single-jointed bit with our unique Fager Smart System – FSS™. This innovative system is designed to lock the joint in any direction, in order to avoid any interference with the palate; thus avoiding the ‘nutcracker’ effect. It creates the feel of a classic straight bit, yet with added flexibility.  The design creates stability whilst ensuring free movement and comfort in the horse’s mouth through a well-balanced, horse-friendly bit which has proven to be greatly appreciated by sensitive horses.
