Based on extensive research into the anatomy of the horse's head, PresTeq has developed the FaySport bridle, which is the only bridle in the world to meet 12 anatomical characteristics. These features ensure that the horse does not feel unnecessary pressure on sensitive areas of the head. Supports the horse to be in the optimal position and perform at maximum. The bridle also has a number of other features that provide the rider with comfort and flexibility. This makes it the perfect tool for demanding riders. It can be used for all equestrian disciplines. The bridle is made of naturally tanned leather (using a natural production process), which is very gentle on the skin, durable, and environmentally friendly. The bridle is decorated with a lacquered noseband with glitters around the edge. The browband is decorated with striking black and silver rhinestones. These glitters in combination with rhinestones give the bridle an elegant look.

It is important to attach the bridle correctly to take advantage of all its anatomical benefits. Always adjust the left and right sides evenly.

Product detailed description

12 unique anatomical features of the Fay Sport bridle:

1. Just behind the horse's ears is one of the most sensitive areas of the horse's body – the poll. A large number of nerve endings converge here, and the nuchal ligament attaches at this point. The special shape of the FaySport bridle’s headpiece distributes the usual pressure from the nuchal ligament and nerve endings at the poll, shifting it onto two gel pads on the sides of the neck.

2. Horses sensitive to their ears often show discomfort when bridled with regular bridles by tossing or turning their heads to the side. The anatomical shape of the headpiece provides plenty of space for the horse's sensitive ears and allows maximum freedom of movement.

3. On regular bridles, the browband is threaded onto the headpiece with a leather loop, which presses on the temporomandibular joint and sensitive nerve endings. The FaySport bridle browband is connected using the unique PressTEQ system – it is attached to the headpiece with a snap from above. This means that it does not interfere with the headpiece, whose smooth underside does not press on sensitive areas of the head. This system also makes it very easy to replace the browband.

4. Most bridles touch the jaw joint. This is the place where the lower jaw connects to the skull. A regular bridle rubs against this joint with the slightest movement of the horse's mouth. The special shape of the FaySport bridle's headpiece avoids the jaw joint. It allows optimal jaw relaxation and enables the horse to chew without restriction. A relaxed jaw is a fundamental prerequisite for a calm and happy horse.

5. The anatomical shape of the headpiece provides sufficient space around the spring bone and prevents abrasion.

6. The shape and placement of the bridle allows the throatlatch to be removed. There is no risk of blockage or irritation of the trachea.

7. The ElasTEQ cheekpiece attachment system ensures a flexible connection to the horse's mouth and prevents excessive pressure on the connection between the mouth and the horse's poll. It also helps to stabilize the bit in the horse's mouth.

8. The special shape of the noseband avoids the nasal and facial nerves of the horse's head. Pressure on these nerves can cause numbness in the upper lip, nostrils, eyelids and jaw.

9. Traditional nosepads lie horizontally on the nose. In this way, they push the skin towards the molars and can cause blisters on the inside of the jaw, especially when the noseband is tightened too tightly. The FaySport retainer lies in front of the molars and does not interfere with the teeth.

10. The bit rests in the horse's mouth on the jaw, which is covered only by a thin layer of sensitive skin. The FaySport bridle uses flexible Velcro straps that relieve the gums and transfer some of the pressure to the noseband. Also, the pressure of the reins passing through these straps is gentler. A bridle set up in this way is ideal especially for young horses and horses that are very sensitive in the mouth.

11. Thanks to its special shape and placement, the noseband is high enough to avoid the fragile tip of the nasal bone. Strong pressure from a low-positioned noseband can cause irritation to the nasal bone, or even fractures. The upper part of the FaySport bridle's noseband is slightly wider than its sides and uses gel padding for better pressure distribution and greater comfort.

12. The noseband is attached to the side above the nostrils, which helps stabilize the bit in the horse's mouth. Traditional nosebands are fastened in the middle of the nose, restricting the nostrils and potentially making it difficult for the horse to breathe. The side attachment of the FaySport noseband leaves the nostrils free, allowing the horse to breathe without restriction.

Other features:

Browband:

Thanks to the PressTEQ system, replacing the browband is very easy. You no longer have to disassemble the entire bridle, but you can simply unclip the snap (stud) and replace the browband. In a few seconds you get a new look.

Gel paddings

Adding gel padding to traditional rubber padding allows for better pressure distribution, ensuring greater comfort for the horse. The headrest has two large cushions with gel padding on both sides. The nosepiece is equipped with a smaller cushion on top of the nasal bone.

Fastening

The cheekpieces, noseband and flash band are equipped with a clip, which offers many advantages. If everything is set to the correct size, fitting the bridle is faster than ever before. The cheekpieces are available separately. Changing the bit is also easy and can be done with the bridle on.

Elastic straps for the bit

Elastic reins can be used to soften the action of the bit and reduce pressure on the horse's mouth. The pressure will be distributed between the bit and the noseband. This is particularly beneficial for young horses or those with sensitive and restless mouths.

Alternative method of bridle fitting:

Thanks to the bridle's clever carabiner system, it can be put on without touching the ears. This is especially useful for horses that have sensitive ears.

How to fit a bridle in an alternative way (for horses sensitive to ears or mouth):

  1. Unclip the left cheek piece.
  2. Gently place the bridle on the head and avoid the ears.
  3. Fasten the noseband.
  4. Insert the bit into the mouth and fasten the left cheekpiece.
  5. Fasten the support strap.
